Born in Dallas, TX Patrick Crouch received
his undergraduate BFA degree in Painting from
Texas A&M University in Commerce, Texas.
Patrick Crouch prefers a simple style of painting that conveys
innocence and honesty through the use of vibrant colors, stylized patterns,
unique shapes and the addition of fabric and other raw materials. His works have
been greatly influenced by the creations of master artist
Romare Bearden and Jacob Lawrence.
The art of Patrick has been exhibited throughout the major markets in the
United States. His work has gone beyond painting into ceramics, painted pottery,
book illustrations, clothing designs, residential and commercial murals and also
eclectic furniture pieces.
Patrick has continued to take extensive studio art courses
and art history classes to widen his range of interests and abilities in
addition to attending graduate school. Currently teaching advanced placement art
at Skyline High School in Dallas, Patrick often donates his work and provides
workshops and lectures to raise money for various not-for-profit organizations.
